Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Emergency Department support professional in Sheboygan County. You will assist physicians and nurses with phlebotomy, patient transport, wound care, and monitoring, while documenting procedures in the EHR and communicating patient needs to the nursing staff.

Hours are varied (2p-2a, 11a-11p) with occasional weekends and no holidays. Typical duties include safety, equipment checks, and collaboration with the care team to ensure timely patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• State-registered Nurse Aide or EMT certification preferred.
• BLS certification within 6 months unless department leader determines it is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with phlebotomy, transport, wound care, and patient monitoring.
• Document procedures and communicate patient observations to the nurse.
• Process daily charges and related procedures in the EHR.
• Coordinate communications among care teams via phone, paging, and EMS systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Lift and move patients as needed using proper technique.
