Job summary

Exceptional Community Hospitals is seeking an Emergency Room Technician for the Day Shift to support physicians and nurses in the Emergency Center. The role involves patient care, phlebotomy, EKGs, IV starts, specimen collection, and monitoring equipment to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include aiding RNs/MDs, performing POC testing, keeping areas clean and stocked, and adhering to ER policies. Current EMT certification preferred; High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years’ ER experience or EMT-P (or equivalent) preferred.
• Current EMT certification preferred.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy, vitals, EKGs and lab testing with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Document vitals signs, perform phlebotomy and IV starts, and perform EKGs.
• Transport patients and monitor through cardiac and vital sign systems.
• Perform Point of Care Testing and collect lab specimens.
• Maintain clean, stocked patient care areas and equipment.
