Job summary

Emerus in Thousand Oaks is seeking a Night shift PRN ER Technician to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care across assigned areas. Responsibilities include collecting clinical data, vital signs, lab specimens, and assisting with activities as per the plan of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets.
• PALS strongly preferred.
• Experience with IV start and phlebotomy preferred.
• Ability to travel to all facility locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data.
• Take vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimens.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and procedures.
• Assist with patient activities and care as indicated by the plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care.
• Provide for patient safety related to age and condition.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of the patient.
• Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations/procedures.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
• Attend staff meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.
