Job summary

Emerus seeks a healthcare technician to provide technical assistance and patient care across assigned areas. You will collect vital signs, height, weight, intake/output, pulse oximetry, and specimens as part of patient care.

Responsibilities include lab testing per COLA/CLIA, assisting with activities per the plan of care, wound care, patient safety, privacy, and infection control, and aiding admissions, transfers, and discharges across facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Medical Corpsman program and (1 year) applicable experience.
• EMT-P / AEMT / Licensed Paramedic with 1 year ER experience preferred.
• EMT-B with ER experience; Oklahoma, North TX, Wisconsin & Pennsylvania markets special.
• Nursing school enrollment with related experience acceptable.
• 2+ years ER experience as ER Technician or CNA experience.
• CNA with hospital experience (Wisconsin market).

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vital signs and specimens.
• Perform laboratory testing according to COLA/CLIA.
• Assist with patient activities per plan of care as directed.
• Provide superficial wound care and patient safety measures.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Ensure clean, safe environment and aseptic techniques.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
