Qualifications

• Completion of EMT program or enrollment in nursing program with clinical concepts.
• Active state EMS certification in good standing at hire date.
• Recognized military medic training acceptable for consideration.
• ER Tech CBO Tool training to be completed within 6 months of employment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Collects, reports and documents vital signs and patient data accurately.
• Performs Point of Care Testing and documents results.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient care per plan of care.
• Maintains patient hygiene and assists with feeding and mobility.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Supports the healthcare team during examinations and procedures.
• Ensures patient safety, handles restraints and isolation precautions as needed.
• Protects patient privacy and maintains clean, safe care areas.
• Uses aseptic technique and infection control in all tasks.
• Communicates clearly with nurses, clinicians and team members.
• Reports equipment issues to Charge Nurse and Equipment Manager.
