Job summary

Trinity Health in Columbus, OH seeks an Emergency Department Technician to provide patient care in the Mount Carmel East ED. The role involves three 12-hour shifts per week, from 10:00 a.m.

to 10:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays as part of a supportive, mission-driven team. Responsibilities include responding to patient needs, transportation, phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and documentation of vital signs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; BLS certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG knowledge or coursework required.
• Experience in patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Transport and escort patients within the department.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens as ordered.
• Assist with wound care and sterile technique when needed.
• Document vital signs and patient data; report changes to RN/physician.
• Perform EKGs and assist with resuscitation as part of the team.
