Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for Grove City, Ohio. The role supports patient care during two 12-hour day shifts per week, with weekends and holidays rotating. The position emphasizes compassionate, team-based care in a fast-paced ED setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess effective communication skills.
• Experience in patient care preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Transport and escort patients as needed.
• Set up equipment and perform visual acuity and eye irrigations.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens as ordered.
• Follow protocols and assist with trauma, stroke, heart and sepsis alerts, and resuscitation.
• Provide wound care and maintain sterile technique when appropriate.
• Perform suture and staple removal (excluding facial region).
• Provide Foley care and collect specimens.
• Perform ECGs and phlebotomy as part of care.
• Document patient data including vital signs and procedures.
• Notify RN/physician of any changes in condition.
