Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Room/Inpatient Technician (Full-time 7a-7p) to support triage, patient flow, and ED operations. The role requires EMT/CRT/Paramedic training, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited EMT, CRT, or Paramedic program.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete triage documentation including vital signs, venous access, phlebotomy, and oxygen placement under RN direction.
• Record vital signs and pain scores in waiting areas and ED per RN instructions.
• Maintain patient flow and communicate care plans to patients and families.
• Assist with cleaning and turnover of ED rooms and equipment.
• Report abnormal vitals to RNs and assist with patient transport as needed.
• Perform blood draws, IV catheter insertions, and basic testing under supervision.
• Stock rooms, support staff, and provide patient and family support.
