Job summary

Tidelands Health is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support nursing care by performing basic patient care activities as delegated by the licensed nurse. You will document care in the EMR, respond to pages and codes, and assist with restraints as directed.

The role requires a CNA or nurse aide program completion, EMT certification or equivalent experience, and a background in handling medically urgent situations with compassion and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with CNA Certification or completion of a nurse assistant program or EMT certification or military medic or fundamentals of nursing course
• 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred
• Preferred training as Medical Technician or Emergency Department Technician

Responsibilities

• Takes direction from RN or physician to maintain high standard of patient care
• Records accurately in the electronic medical record as directed
• Responds to pages/codes and assists as directed
• Assists with restraints when directed
• May act as observer for behavioral health complaints
