Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support the Emergency Department by assisting licensed staff with patient care and maintaining a clean, well-stocked environment. You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team, and document care activities in the EMR.

Role requires completing Nursing Assistant, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant courses; CNA/EMT/Phlebotomy certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

Technical School completion of Nursing Assistant, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant courses required.
Certifications such as CNA, EMT, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care in the ED under supervision of licensed staff.
Assists with patient transport to and from units and discharge areas.
Maintains a clean, stocked, and organized environment per infection control standards.
Communicates changes in patient status to the care team promptly.
Documents care activities in the EMR accurately and efficiently.
Responds to emergencies and assists the care team to ensure patient safety.
Performs clerical duties and supports unit operations as needed.
Collaborates with ancillary services to facilitate seamless patient care.
