Job summary

Join Tidelands Health as an Emergency Room Technician, supporting nurses and physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. You will document care in the electronic medical record, respond to pages and codes, and assist with restraints as needed, working under supervision in a fast-paced ER.

This role emphasizes teamwork, compassionate patient support, and adherence to safety and emergency procedures, including equipment handling during emergencies. A CNA/EMT background is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with CNA certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent with the completion of a nurse assistant program or minimum 1-2 years’ experience or
• High School Diploma or equivalent with EMT certification or
• High School Diploma or equivalent with documented experience as military medic or
• High School Diploma or equivalent with successful completion of fundamentals of nursing course

Responsibilities

• Takes direction from RN or physician to maintain high standard of patient care
• Responsible for accurate recording in electronic medical record as directed or needed
• Responds to pages/codes accordingly and assists as directed
• Assists with restraints when directed
• May act as an observer for behavioral health complaints
• Provides orthopedic support goods or crutches when applicable
• Follows established safety and emergency policies and procedures in daily practice or emergency situations, including handling of equipment and supplies during emergencies
