Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Department Technician / Emergency Medical Technician (ER Tech / EMT) to provide direct patient care and technical support in the Emergency Department. The role includes phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transport, and documentation in the EMR.

The position requires EMT certification or eligibility, current BLS, and strong communication skills for fast-paced, high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments, vital signs, and data collection.
• Support emergency activities under licensed staff supervision.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing as assigned.
• Obtain and document EKGs and other diagnostic procedures.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, and mobility needs.
• Support trauma, emergency response, and resuscitation activities.
