Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an Emergency Department support role focused on triage and patient flow. Under supervision, you will assist with triage documentation, vital signs, phlebotomy, and oxygen placement, working with RN and MD staff.

You will help maintain patient flow, communicate care plans, and assist with room cleaning and specimen handling. CPR certification and EMT/Paramedic training are required; at least 1 year in related field preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and EMT/CRT/Paramedic program completion.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of triage criteria and care levels.

Responsibilities

• Complete triage documentation including vital signs, venous access, phlebotomy, and oxygen placement under RN guidance.
• Record vital signs and pain scores for waiting area patients per RN instruction.
• Maintain patient flow and communicate care plans to patients and families.
• Assist with cleaning ED rooms and report abnormal vitals to RNs.
