Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Department Technician/EMT to deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced ED. You will assist with assessments, vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, and patient transport under supervision, while maintaining rooms and documentation.

The ideal candidate holds EMT certification or ED Tech experience, with BLS and strong teamwork. This PRN position emphasizes compassionate care, patient safety and collaboration with the healthcare team in a supportive

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT certification or ED Technician experience required/approved.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments, vital signs and data collection.
• Support emergency and urgent care activities under licensed staff.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Obtain and document EKGs and other diagnostic procedures.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, transfers and mobility.
• Support trauma, emergency response and resuscitation efforts.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes promptly.
• Maintain treatment rooms, equipment and supply readiness.
• Assist with documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure safety.
