Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking an ER Technician in California to administer patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and physician.

This role supports patient flow in the Emergency Department and utilizes specialized emergency care skills for patients from infancy to elderly. The ER Technician follows the care plan and addresses age- and diagnosis-specific needs, with opportunities for career development, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits across UHS

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required -OR- RN student with 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Follow the plan of care set by the RN and/or physician.
• Manage the individual needs of patients across age and clinical diagnosis.
• Maintain smooth patient flow in the Emergency Department.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in Emergency Department with emergency care skills.
