Job summary

Mount Carmel Dublin is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join the ED team. The role involves delivering patient care in a dynamic setting, supporting trauma, stroke, and resuscitation protocols while maintaining safety and compassion.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and prior patient care experience or relevant training. You will work 12-hour day shifts, 7am–7:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS and approved course(s) including phlebotomy and EKG.
• Experience: prior patient care or health-related training preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient needs promptly and provide assistance as part of the ED team.
• Escort patients and assist with transportation.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens as ordered.
• Carry out EKGs and document vital signs and procedures.
• Support trauma, stroke, heart and sepsis protocols and resuscitation efforts.
• Maintain sterile technique and wound care as appropriate.
• Assist with suture/staple removal (excluding facial region).
• Report changes in patient condition to RN or physician in a timely manner.
