Mount Carmel in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, is seeking an Emergency Department Technician on a part-time, rotating shift basis. The role supports ED operations within a free-standing ER, performing patient care and procedural tasks as outlined above.

The position emphasizes teamwork, prompt patient response, and adherence to trauma and resuscitation protocols. A high school diploma and BLS/ET skills are required, with potential for professional development and dailyPay options.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalency.
• Licensure / Certification: BLS and basic patient care skills, EKG and phlebotomy training required.
• Experience: Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
• Transport patients and escort them as needed.
• Perform visual acuity, eye irrigation, and equipment setups.
• Perform phlebotomy and obtain lab specimens as ordered.
• Follow protocols and participate in trauma, stroke, heart, and sepsis alerts, and resuscitation.
• Perform wound care and practice sterile technique.
• Perform suture and staple removal (excluding facial region).
• Perform Foley care and collect specimens.
• Perform EKG.
• Collect and document patient data, including vital signs, weight, and procedures performed.
• Report observations and condition changes to RN/physician promptly.
