Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a casual Emergency Department support position in the Sheboygan area. You will assist physicians and nurses with phlebotomy, patient transport, monitoring, wound care, Foley catheters, and lab specimen collection.

Documentation in the EHR, coordination of communications, and maintaining safety standards are required. High school diploma and typically 1 year of experience are preferred; related licenses such as CNA/EMT/BLS may apply.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and routine patient care skills required.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred; typically 1 year.
• Ability to follow safety policies and standard precautions.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and RNs with technical patient care tasks.
• Transport patients to departments and monitor vital signs.
• Document procedures and communicate patient needs to RNs.
• Process daily charges and related procedures in the EHR.
• Coordinate communications via phone, paging, and EMS systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and monitor equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and lifting as needed.
