Job summary

The role requires high school completion plus EMT/CNA/MA training and current BLS/CPR certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Ideal candidates may hold an NREMT certification or Wisconsin EMT Basic, CNA, or MA credentials from an accredited associate degree program.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Current BLS and/or CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• NREMT, or Wisconsin EMT Basic, or Wisconsin CNA, or Medical Assistant from an associate degree program are acceptable

Responsibilities

• Performs technical skills under supervision of ED physicians and RNs for all patients across lifespan.
• Assists with patient data collection, patient care, clerical duties, and proper documentation/communication.
• Supports interdepartmental and inter-hospital transfers, including EMS handoffs to ED staff.
