Job summary

HealthPartners' Amery Hospital & Clinic seeks an Emergency Room Technician to join the ED. You will perform routine treatments, assist in specimen collection (urine, stool, fingerstick glucose), and provide clerical support while prioritizing patient needs and reporting data to the RN promptly.

The schedule includes 1900-0700 shifts with every third weekend; benefits include medical and dental insurance, 401k with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma and BLS.
• Preferred: National EMS program; Wisconsin EMT/AEMT/Paramedic/LPN/CNA license; 3 years CNA/LPN/EMT experience; EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine treatments and assist in specimen collection (urine, stool, finger-stick glucose).
• Provide clerical support and report patient data to RN in a timely manner.
• Prioritize patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions in ED.

Job description

As the Emergency Room Technician (ERT) in Amery Hospital & Clinic's Emergency Department, you will perform routine treatments, assist in the collection of patient specimens (urine, stool, and finger stick blood glucose) and provide clerical support to staff such as ordering supplies. In this role, you must be able to prioritize the urgency of patient needs, initiate the appropriate interventions of care and accurately report patient data to RN in a timely manner.

Work Schedule:

1900-0700 and every 3rd weekend

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of National EMS program
• Current EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, LPN or CNA license in the state of Wisconsin
• Three years experience as a CNA, LPN or EMT preferred.
• Experience in EPIC computer system.
