Job summary

SignatureCare Emergency Center in Midland is seeking an ER Tech to assist the RN and Physician in a fast-paced ED. You will perform delegated tasks, support patient care, involve families in the plan of care, and help uphold HIPAA standards and a patient-centered approach.

Candidates must hold a Texas EMT license with 2 years ER experience, or a Texas Paramedic license with 2 years ER experience, or CMA with 2 years ER hospital experience. BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Texas EMT license with 2 years ER experience required.
• Or Texas Paramedic license with 2 years ER experience.
• Or CMA with minimum two years in a hospital ER setting.
• BLS required. ACLS and PALS are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and Physician with patient care in the ER.
• Carry out delegated tasks within EMT scope.
• Document in EMR and maintain patient privacy per HIPAA.
• Stock departments/rooms daily and keep areas clean.
• Respond promptly to requests and coordinate patient care with nurses.
• Ensure EKGs for chest pain patients within 10 minutes of arrival.
