Job summary

Saint Mary's Health Network in Reno, NV seeks an experienced Staff RN for the Emergency Department. You will assess patients, collaborate with physicians, and provide timely, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include at least one year as an ED nurse, current Nevada RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS (or corresponding certifications). TNCC preferred, ENA membership beneficial, and CEN encouraged within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; ED experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English (Speak, Write).
• Current and valid Nevada RN License.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• ENA membership within 12 months of hire preferred; CEN within 24 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Staff RN is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s condition and test results.
• Maintain accurate and relevant documentation of patient care activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting of abuse as required.
