Job summary

San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in the United States seeks an Emergency Department Staff Nurse to coordinate and provide nursing care for patients in a fast-paced ED setting. The role requires a California RN license, ADN or BSN, 1 year ED experience, and current ACLS/BLS/PALS and NIHSS certifications; familiarity with Allscripts EMR is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current California RN License required.
• Graduate from a school of nursing with either ADN or BSN degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience (within 18 months) in an acute care hospital's emergency department.
• Must have current ACLS, BLS, PALS & NIHSS Stroke Scale Certifications required upon hire.
• Must be computer-literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel).
• Familiarity with Allscripts, helpful and experience in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/provide nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing practice.
