Job summary

Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, part of Lutheran Health Network, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. This full-time role is 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) with a mid shift from 1 pm to 1 am and includes a welcoming sign-on bonus up to $35,000.

You will provide patient-centered care, administer medications, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in critical care and life-support activities.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of acute care nursing experience or student clinical rotations required.
• RN licensure (state or compact) required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to plan and evaluate care.
• Respond to emergencies with CPR and code team participation.
• Document patient care and education in the medical record.
• Participate in audits and performance improvement activities.
• Maintain infection control protocols and patient safety.
