Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Department PRN opportunities in Austin, TX.

The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, following established nursing models. You will assess and manage pain, perform required procedures, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families about plans, medications, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse) required.
• Emergency ED experience preferred.
• BCLS/ACLS/TNCC instructor certifications required or pursued within specified timelines.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 60 days.
• 1 year ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Assess pain and reassess after intervention.
• Perform procedures and document care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
