St. David's Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare in Austin, TX, is seeking Registered Nurse - Emergency Department PRN opportunities.

The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and care teams, using established nursing models to promote outcomes and patient experience. Required certifications include ACLS, BCLS, ENPC, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC, and an RN license with 1 year of RN experience; a BSN or ADN is acceptable.

Qualifications

• RN responsibilities include coordinating and delivering patient-centered care in collaboration with care team.
• Utilizes nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.
• Advocates for patients and families to support outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain and comfort.
• Document care in the medical record promptly.
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Explain non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
