Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing.
• BCLS/ACLS/TNCC certifications required or achieved within specified timelines.
• Experience in emergency or acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and manage pain according to protocol.
• Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered; document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and advocate for patients/families.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans and follow-up steps.
• Translate medical terminology for patient understanding and ensure informed participation.
