Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Round Rock, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Emergency Department PRN shifts. The RN provides patient-centered ED care, collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver timely, effective treatment and education to patients and families.

Qualifications include RN licensure, BCLS/ACLS, and pediatric ED competency. Prior ED experience and TNCC are preferred; associate or bachelor’s degree required.

Qualifications

• RN with ER/ED scope of practice as per state standards.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required or to be obtained.
• TNCC or related trauma nursing certification preferred.
• Pediatric ED experience or willingness to obtain pediatric competencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ED.
• Assess and manage patient pain; reassess after intervention.
• Document care in patient records promptly and accurately.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
