Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare in Texas is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced ED. You will provide immediate medical care to patients in critical situations and work closely with physicians, resident clinicians, and other nurses to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license, a minimum of 2 years in emergency nursing, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, and strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years in emergency nursing.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; weekends/holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients in emergency situations.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor and document vital signs and medical history.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop care plans.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to policies.
