Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare in Porter, TX is seeking a skilled Emergency Registered Nurse to deliver immediate, high-quality care in our busy ED. You will work with physicians and the care team to triage, treat, and stabilize patients in life-threatening situations.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with at least two years in emergency nursing, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and strong communication under pressure.

Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing.
Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients in emergency situations
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical history
Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Maintain accurate and complete medical records
Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices
