Medical City Haslet Free Standing ER in Texas seeks an experienced ER RN for PRN day shifts. You will coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, using established nursing models to support outcomes and patient experience.

The role emphasizes pain management, timely documentation, proactive responsiveness, and teaching patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up. Prior ER experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; BSN preferred; BSN must be obtained within 3 years.
• Registered Nurse license, eligible to practice in TX.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• ENPC and TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum two years ER nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and document care timely.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures and future self-management.
