Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a part-time position at North Valleys ER. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care, triage, and coordination with ED physicians in a fast-paced environment open 24/7, with emphasis on patient safety and efficient flow.

Eligible candidates have NV RN license, 2–3 years ED/CCU experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• Two to three years ED experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the ED and coordinates with other specialists as required.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across all age groups and reassessments per policy.
• Uses triage to ensure timely and appropriate care and correctly assigns categories.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets results accurately.
• Educates patients and families regarding pain management and care plans.
