Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain, OH is seeking a part-time Staff Nurse (CN II) to oversee nursing care for a complex patient group, with leadership duties and precepting responsibilities. This union-position role includes a 24-hour weekly schedule across nights, with care delivered 7p–7:30a and commitments to comprehensive benefits.

You will coordinate care, participate in orientation, maintain CE requirements, and ensure quality patient outcomes in a supportive, professional setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period.
• Maintains 12 contact hours of CE annually including Fire Safety and BLS/CPR Recertification.
• Must communicate well verbally and in writing with people from varying backgrounds.
• Maintains BLS/CPR recertification.

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of complex patients with initial assessment and ongoing monitoring.
• Coordinate nursing care for a specific patient group.
• Precepts new employees as assigned.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership and competency at the CN II level.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
• Adhere to unit-specific procedures and safety standards.
