Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse for a full-time 36-hour weekly schedule with 7p–7:30a shifts. You will assess and monitor a group of complex patients, coordinating care across the team and applying nursing competencies across age groups.

The ideal candidate will hold an Ohio RN license, complete orientation, and maintain BLS/CPR and ACLS within 6 months. This role offers full benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Orientation and probation periods completed.
• Minimum 12 hours of continuing education annually including Fire Safety and BLS/CPR recertification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of ER assignment.
• BLS/CPR recertification must be maintained.
• Neonatal and Pediatric Life Support encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a group of complex patients with initial assessment and ongoing monitoring.
• Coordinate nursing care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Precept new employees as assigned.
• Demonstrate clinical competency and equipment use for patient care.
• Communicate effectively with diverse populations and team members.
• Report to Nurse Manager and liaise with administrative staff.
