Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an Emergency Room nurse for night shifts in New Orleans, LA. This role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care within a dynamic ED environment, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include prioritizing care touchpoints, coordinating with care teams, wound care, infection control, patient education, and ensuring continuity of care. BLS/ACLS are required; ER experience preferred. Per diem and Flex-PRN options are available.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana.
• BLS certification current for healthcare providers.
• ACLS certification (New grad must obtain within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, coordinate and delegate all care touchpoints for patients.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team members during significant events or condition changes.
• Prevent and treat wounds and ensure infection control.
• Adhere to Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care and clear communication for every patient.
