Job summary

LCMC Health invites experienced ER nurses to join our compassionate team in New Orleans, LA. This evening-shift role emphasizes high-quality patient care, teamwork, and safe throughput in a fast-paced ED.

You will apply ACLS, PALS, CPI, BLS and Louisiana RN licensure to deliver expert care, educate patients and families, and support continuous improvement. A sign-on bonus is available based on experience.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS, CPI and PALS certifications; new grads must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, coordinate and delegate all care touchpoints for patients.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor patients, families, and care team for significant events or changes.
• Prevent and treat wounds.
• Ensure Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.
• Ensure continuity of care and effective communications.
• Advise supervisor when unable to complete assignments promptly or safely.
• Initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources.
• Address questions and concerns; assist others on the team.
