Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This 24-hour-per-week, 7pm-3am night role is on-site at the University Campus, with a $6,000 sign-on bonus available for external hires.

The RN will deliver care using the Nursing Process from admission to discharge, perform assessments, coordinate discharge planning, and document all care. Requires MA RN licensure and BLS; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• BSN highly preferred.
• Experience in Emergency Department nursing desirable.

Responsibilities

• Uses Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per procedure.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, coordinates and evaluates nursing care in the unit.
• Documents care and supports education for patient and family.
• Contributes to quality improvement and safety initiatives.
