Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a night shift (7pm–7am), full-time. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced ED environment and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

The role requires adherence to standards, continuous learning, and active participation in performance improvement and patient care initiatives within a leading health system.

Qualifications

• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• BLS, RN license (state/compact), PALS, TNCC, ACLS are typically required in this role.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process with assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Delivers patient-centered care tailored to population characteristics and cultural diversity.
• Partners with patients and families using bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
• Performs nursing care according to current clinical practice standards.
• Coordinates safe, high-quality care with timely documentation and collaboration.
• Supports performance improvement and research utilization to drive best practices.
• Participates in protocol development with care managers to achieve best outcomes.
• Manages resources efficiently and participates in governance and policy adherence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
