Job summary

Mercy Health seeks an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) at Marcum & Wallace Hospital. You will deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced ER, collaborating with an interprofessional team to assess patient status, determine priorities, and implement care plans.

Required is an accredited nursing degree and active RN licensure. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; ED/critical care experience is preferred. BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are recommended within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; ED or Critical Care experience preferred but not required.
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training is preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting as part of an interprofessional team.
• Evaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination across hospital departments.
• Provides care to a broad spectrum of patients from short-stay to trauma.
• Administer medications in a safe manner per policies and state practice.
• Other duties as assigned.
