Job summary

Emerus is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the ER. The role requires proficiency in age-specific nursing care, documentation, infection control, and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree, RN licensure, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. English fluency is required; additional state-specific clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse, required.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience, required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient nursing care by applying advanced clinical nursing knowledge and skills for patient and family comfort and safety.
• Complete accurate, concise and legible documentation on medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and physiological status of patients.
• Follow physician’s orders in delivering nursing care.
• Adhere to infection control, isolation procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
