Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a full-time, third-shift RN for the Emergency Department. This 12-hour shift role includes required call, with sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.

The ED handles 70–100 patients daily. The RN will provide nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with a patient-first team, and meet orientation requirements (10 weeks).

Qualifications

• RN degree or diploma in nursing (licensure required).
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications as required by orientation.
• Minimum 2 years emergency department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with ED team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Ensure patient safety, accurate monitoring and thorough documentation.
