Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department on a 3 x 12 hr night shift with rotating weekends. This rural 20-bed ED emphasizes patient-centered care and work-life balance through self-scheduling; a $20,000 sign-on bonus is available.

You will perform assessments, interventions, and documentation for patients of all ages, participate in care planning, and collaborate with a small, dedicated team to deliver quality outcomes in a community

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina State License or Compact License with North Carolina endorsement.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
• One year of RN experience in a health care setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
