Rutherford Regional Health System in Rutherfordton, NC, seeks an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our rural 20-bed ED. The role supports critical care across varied acuity, with self-scheduling and a commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care for the community. Eligible for a commitment bonus: $20,000 for experienced RNs or $10,000 for new graduates.

Schedule is 7p-7a. NC licensure (or multi-state), BLS within 30 days, ACLS within 90 days, and an ADN required (BSN

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire
• Associate's degree in nursing is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• One year of RN experience in Emergency Department is required.

Responsabilités

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record.
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
