Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to join the Emergency Department on a mid shift (11am-11pm) in a 16-bed small-format hospital. The role entails assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the ER.

The position requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, active RN license, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for new employees.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Active state RN license without sanctions, required.
• 2+ years RN experience in ER or comparable setting, required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• PA Candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances completed or obtainable before start.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-specific nursing care in the ER.
• Document properly in medical records; ensure privacy and confidentiality.
• Observe, record signs and symptoms, and communicate interventions.
• Follow physician orders and deliver nursing care as directed.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform tests per policy and regulations.
• Maintain infection control and aseptic technique; ensure patient safety.
• Handle admissions, discharges, and transfers; participate in care planning.
