Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department in Grand Prairie, TX.

The mid shift (11am-11pm) position is full-time, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new employees and the opportunity to work in a small-format hospital setting with 16 beds (8 ER, 8 Inpatient). Responsibilities include assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care, documenting accurately, and following physician orders.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 2+ years RN experience in ER or comparable setting required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Complete accurate, concise documentation of medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status; follow physician orders.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform testing per policy and CLIA/COLA rules.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Assist with procedures and supply assembly for diagnostic/treatment procedures.
