Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate of Nursing required upon hire.
• At least one year of RN experience upon hire.
• TX RN license required upon hire.
• BLS/CPR certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC certification within 12 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: admission and ongoing assessment of patient's condition; notify doctor of changes.
• Planning: design and document the plan of care and discharge planning; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Implementation: prepare patients for treatments and report significant changes to the charge nurse or physician.
• Report Skills: give and receive bedside reports to ensure continuity of care.
• Environment & Safety: maintain safe patient environment and report hazards.
• Supplies: document charges and supplies used for patient care.
