Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting in Pearland, TX. The RN will collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, effective outcomes across units.

Responsibilities include pain assessment, timely procedures, accurate documentation, patient education, and family coaching on discharge planning and healthy lifestyle choices.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ENPC must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain with prompt reassessments after interventions.
• Perform procedures and document care in the patient record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
• Guide patients on lifestyle changes and self-management after discharge.
