Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West in Houston, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess pain, perform procedures, document care, and educate patients and families on conditions and follow-up.

Qualifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS within 30 days, RN license, ADN/BSN, and 2 years ED experience; we offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team that values safety and excellence.

Qualifications

ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required within 30 days of employment start date.
RN license and current state nursing practice.
Associate Degree or BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with experience.

Responsibilities

Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the provider and document care.
Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to ensure compassionate care.
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up.
