Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West in Houston, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess pain, perform procedures, document care, and educate patients and families on conditions and follow-up.

Qualifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS within 30 days, RN license, ADN/BSN, and 2 years ED experience; we offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team that values safety and excellence.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license and current state nursing practice.
• Associate Degree or BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the provider and document care.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to ensure compassionate care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up.
