Job summary

Mercy Health currently seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at the Sylvania location. The ER RN will assess patient status, determine care priorities, implement nursing interventions, and develop care plans to improve outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, and ACLS/PALS (preferred). This role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, patient safety, and comprehensive care across diverse patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS/ACLS and PALS certifications (preferred; must obtain if not current, within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting as part of an interprofessional team.
• Evaluate, update and revise the plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Provide care to a broad spectrum of patients from short-stay to trauma.
• Administer medications safely in line with practice state and organizational policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
