Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to deliver rapid assessment, treatment, and compassionate care for a broad range of urgent conditions. You will work with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans, administer medications, and ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires strong decision-making, adaptability, and a commitment to patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• Licensed RN in state of practice; CPR/BLS within 90 days.
• Other unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process to assess and plan patient care.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments per policy.
• Document care consistent with standards of care.
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and peer review.
• Escalate patient safety concerns through the chain of command.
